Εκδοτικό Σημείωμα #1

This note is a message from a British well-wisher. I have had the pleasure of visiting KETHEA and on the basis of what I saw am keenly persuaded of the excellence of its work. It is an organisation characterised by professionalism and critical attitudes of mind, but at the same time by evident humanity and compassion.

To KETHEA’s broad range of activities you are now adding the publication of a journal. That is a highly important and courageous development. Your journal will help give coherence to national activities and build a sense of fellowship among those working on addictions in your country and more widely. Journals are important for their capacity to enhance professionalism, but also for the humane ethic which they must support and carry. Journals should dare to be agents of cultural advance.

So let me at this exciting launch wish your journal every success, while at the same time wishing all who work with it much rewarding enjoyment and challenge along the way. Journals are wonderful friendship networks.
